Managing your health becomes more difficult if you are taking more than one kind of medicine.  Medication Reviews or Medication Therapy Management (MTM) helps you get the most from your medicines.  Patients using MTM are more likely to feel better, be healthier, and get the benefits they expect from their medicines

Our specially trained pharmacists work closely with you and your doctors to solve any problems related to your medicines and to help you get the best results from taking them.

An MTM pharmacist will help make sure that:

  • You are taking the right amount of medicine.
  • Your medicines are not interacting with each other.
  • You are taking only the medicines you need.
  • Any vitamins, supplements or over-the-counter drugs you are taking are safe & effective.
  • You are spending no more than you need to for your medications.

Private, Personal advice

During a private meeting, our MTM pharmacists will review your medicines and answer any questions you may have. You'll get a list of all your medicines, with detailed advice on how to get the most out of them.

Our MTM pharmacists will always be available to help you throughout your treatment. They will provide you current information on proven medical practices to help you and your doctor determine the most effective treatment.  They will help you to understand your condition and your medications so you can take an active role in managing your own health.

Insurance coverage
Check with your insurance provider or employer to see if MTM through Sam's Health Mart is covered.  Private pay is also accepted. 

Medicare Part D                                                               

Medication therapy management (MTM) services are a key part of the new Medicare prescription drug benefit.  You may be required by your plan to have a full medication review performed by an MTM pharmacist as a requirement for participation. 

We will be happy to accommodate your schedule and assist you in determining if your insurance will cover the cost of services. If you are caring for a loved one who you feel may benefit from this service, we are happy to work with you to offer them the service and care they need.
