DRUG TAKE BACK DAY NETS 125 LBS OF UNNEEDED MEDS
MOBERLY, MO - On Saturday, October 29, the Moberly Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and Christian Tadrus of Sam’s Healthmart, participated in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s nation-wide Drug Take-Back program.
The program provides a way for individuals to safely and anonymously dispose of unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications.
The program in Moberly took place at two drop off points: the Moberly Police Department and the new Sam’s Healthmart location at 530 US 24 E.
As a result of the program, almost 125 pounds of prescription and over-the-counter medications were turned in for disposal.
All of the drugs are being stored in a secure location until they are turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for proper, and safe, disposal.
The Moberly Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and Christian Tadrus of Sam’s Healthmart would like to thank everyone that participated in this successful program.
